Role Overview: Reporting directly to a dynamic CFO, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the finance function within this fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and financial success of a thriving healthcare business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, including insightful financial analysis and commentary to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the senior leadership team to prepare annual budgets and cash flow forecasts, monitoring performance against these forecasts.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • VAT Compliance: Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline and enhance financial processes and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • KPI Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators to monitor financial performance and support business growth.
  • Commercial Support: Partner with the CFO and other senior managers to provide financial insights and support for business development initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified with extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
