About the Role:

A versatile and experienced Marketing Manager is needed to lead the marketing initiatives of a company who are experts in their field of specialism. The role covers campaign planning, email marketing, social media management (both organic and paid), and brand development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crafting and implementing successful marketing strategies for e-commerce businesses, with a key focus on content creation and brand management.

As a Marketing Manager, the candidate will excel at understanding consumer behaviour and leveraging this knowledge to fuel business growth through strategic and tactical campaigns across multiple channels. The role requires a meticulous co-ordinator, able to develop and execute marketing plans for various consumer segments simultaneously, working closely with numerous stakeholders. Creativity and innovative thinking are essential to ensure marketing campaigns captivate and engage the audience.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed marketing campaigns to boost traffic, engagement, leads, and sales on the e-commerce platform, in line with promotional plans.
  • Plan and run targeted email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, automation, and performance analysis, to nurture leads and increase conversions.
  • Manage the company's organic social media presence, creating engaging content, interacting with the audience, and expanding the follower base.
  • Oversee paid social media advertising campaigns, including budget management, audience targeting, ad creation, A/B testing, and performance optimisation to meet ROAS and lead generation goals.
  • Lead brand development initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, and brand voice across all marketing channels.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as e-commerce, product and merchandising, and sales to align marketing efforts with business objectives and product launches.
  • Analyse campaign performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation, providing regular reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce marketing, digital advertising, and content creation, incorporating relevant innovations into the strategy.
  • Mentor and lead a Marketing Executive, fostering a collaborative, creative, and learning-focused environment.
  • Report directly to the Head of Marketing and E-commerce.

Essential Experience / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a marketing role with a focus on e-commerce, campaign planning, email marketing, organic social media, paid social media, and brand development.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and traditional landscapes, with deep knowledge of ecommerce marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Bloomreach, Mailchimp), digital advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads), and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail and creativity in content creation for digital channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions to refine marketing strategies and drive business results (knowledge of GA4, Excel/Google Sheets required).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience with a history of developing and guiding high-performing teams or individuals in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £45k to £55k per annum, depending on experience.
  • Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Annual Leave: 25 days, plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working options (2/3 days a week onsite with the team).
