Position: Physics Teacher (Up to A-Level)
Location: Wandsworth, London
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2024

The school are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to join their vibrant faculty. As a Physics Teacher at the school, you will have the opportunity to ignite curiosity and foster a love for scientific inquiry among our students, preparing them for success in their academic and professional pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons across key stages 3, 4, and 5, up to A-Level.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in science subjects.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and resources.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular links and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the educational experience of our students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK, ECT's welcome!
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in teaching science up to A-Level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Commitment to promoting the values and ethos of Wandsworth Academy.
  • Willingness to participate in professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential for outstanding candidates.
