Purpose of Junior Logistics Specialist
Under the direction of Transport Manager, the Junior logistics specialist will be working as part of a busy European Transport and Distribution department where they offer international groupage services throughout Europe, utilizing Pallet Networks both in the UK and Europe as well as 3rd party partners & hauliers.
Duties for the Junior Logistics Specialist;
- Liaising with 3rd party European partners and hauliers on a frequent basis
- Briefing and debriefing drivers
- Liaising and communicating with pallet network hub points with other network members.
- Data input into the database system
- Resolving any Customer Service issues that may arise,
- Keeping all paperwork filling up to date and organized
- Accrual of files and posting of invoices and invoicing administration
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and experience for the Junior Logistics Specialist
- Good IT skills (MS Office package, Outlook etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload for deadlines
- Excellent administration(attention to detail numeric and time sensitive) and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to easily commute to Slough
