Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for X-ray detector systems & test jigs using CAD tools.
- Generate detailed engineering designs, drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Support prototyping through 3D printing, CNC machining and outsourced fabrication.
- Continuously improve design skills and fabrication techniques for X-ray applications.
- Product's design lifecycle from concept to production including project management.
- Communicate with colleagues, both within and outside the organisation.
- Ability to efficiently work alone and as well as collaborating with other teams to ensure a right-first-time delivery.
- Support production with technical issues.
- Support other team members as required.
Role Responsibilities:
Input:
- Design briefs, drawing requirements and engineering change orders.
- CAD models, material specifications, quality standards.
- Prototype requirements, fabrication standards and meet deadlines.
- Managing projects, including developing project plans approved by
your manager, progress updates, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews to meet high-reliability product standards.
- Continuously enhance design skills and share knowledge.

- 3D CAD models and detailed drawings.
- Manufacturing and assembly drawings, complete bill of materials and detailed fabrication documentation.
- 3D printed or CNC machined prototypes, feedback to enhance designs, and prototypes delivered on schedule.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in mechanical engineering principles and practices, with a strong foundation in mechanical design.
- Experience with ISO quality procedures and a solid understanding of quality standards in manufacturing.
- Skilled in using CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings.
- Experience in developing design briefs, drawing requirements, and managing engineering change orders.
- Knowledge of material specifications and the ability to select appropriate materials for various applications.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and CNC machining, with a focus on meeting fabrication standards and deadlines.
