IT Service Desk Engineer

Our client, an award winning, growing business in Suffolk, have an opportunity to join their growing Service Desk function. The team pride themselves on delivering exceptional IT services and support to a diverse client base across the organisation. They are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Service Desk Engineer to join a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote and in-person end-user support at 1st & 2nd line levels.
  • Onboard and offboard customers efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Log, manage, and track support issues via the Service Desk system.
  • Escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and technical support across the organisation.
  • Maintain and update knowledge base articles and documentation.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server).
  • Experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of DHCP and DNS configurations and issues.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

Qualifications:

  • IT qualifications such as CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft accreditations, or IT BTEC are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or service desk role.
