Procurement/Stores Manager - Eastleigh
A established business that offers electrical and mechanical services are expanding their team and hiring for a Procurement/Stores Manager in Eastleigh. You will be the lead technical buyer on multiple projects looking at procurement of both electrical and mechanical plant and materials. This is a key role to support the business. With very little staff turnover, you will join a friendly and welcoming team who love coming to work every day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ordering and hiring plant for all sites working closely with mechanical and electrical engineers.
- Maintain and build on the good relationships with our existing suppliers and build some with new ones.
- Obtaining quotes for daily materials.
- Looking after the company fleet sorting MOT's, servicing and breakdowns.
- General upkeep of the stores area.
- PAT testing plant and keeping records (preferably).
- Organizing refunds/credits after site clearances.
- Responsible for PPE and corporate clothing orders.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office (word, outlook, excel).
- Excellent organization and planning skills, ability to work to deadlines.
- Managing own time effectively.
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently.
