Quality Controller

A Quality Controller is required for a highly regarded global Manufacturing company, based in Huddersfield. The role is based within the Metallurgy department and involves ensuring high-quality standards are met across all materials and incoming goods. The role sits in a team of 3 other Controllers who will be on hand to help upskill and train.

Client Details

My client is an engineering manufacturer based in Huddersfield and part of a global group operating in over 25 countries for over 300 years.

The business are keen on upskilling and development, for example one of the current Controllers is undertaking a Radiographic Interpretation Course to further their skills. The current Quality Manager started as an apprentice 6 years ago and has worked their way up with multiple promotions to where they are now.

Description

  • Verification and inspection of incoming and in-process materials
  • Manage and identify discrepancies and report non-conformance issues
  • Document and report any quality-related issues.
  • Implement quality control processes and procedures.
  • Support project meetings, supplier meetings, and customer meetings providing updates and support on metallurgy function related issues

Profile

My client are open to seeing candidates that:

  • Have worked in metals based background e.g. heat treatment, aerospace, automotive, foundry, metals material supplier.
  • Have a quality background e.g. that has put together quality packs and are aware of material certification
  • Are graduates with degrees in: mechanical engineering; metallurgy; chemistry; physics; aerospace or automotive engineering that are looking for their first step into this career

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary
  • Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Flexible working hours with core hours from 9.30am - 2pm.
