Performance & Development Engineer - Stafford (Hybrid) - Up to £43/hr - Inside IR35

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Performance Engineer to join a prestigious engineering firm renowned for its innovative approach and cutting-edge projects. Based in Stafford, this role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team within the Product Engineering Development department, working on the forefront of diesel product development. This is a 12-month contract with a high possibility of further extension, providing a fantastic platform for professional growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions calibration projects.
  • Engage in mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems.
  • Define and manage component validation plans.
  • Coordinate engineering activities, including test and analysis tasks.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions using industry-standard methods.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, adhering to high-quality standards.

What You Will Bring:

  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Proven expertise in engine Performance and Emissions calibration, alongside strong data analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of emissions measurement techniques and worldwide emission regulations.
  • Proficiency in PC literacy, particularly with MS Office suite.
  • A high standard of written technical reporting and knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems.
