Performance & Development Engineer - Stafford (Hybrid) - Up to £43/hr - Inside IR35

Based in Stafford, this role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team within the Product Engineering Development department, working on the forefront of diesel product development. This is a 12-month contract with a high possibility of further extension, providing a fantastic platform for professional growth.
What You Will Do:
- Lead Diesel Engine Performance and Emissions calibration projects.
- Engage in mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems.
- Define and manage component validation plans.
- Coordinate engineering activities, including test and analysis tasks.
- Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions using industry-standard methods.
- Prepare and present technical reports, adhering to high-quality standards.
What You Will Bring:
- An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Proven expertise in engine Performance and Emissions calibration, alongside strong data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of emissions measurement techniques and worldwide emission regulations.
- Proficiency in PC literacy, particularly with MS Office suite.
- A high standard of written technical reporting and knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems.
