Storekeeper- Immediately Required
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Length of Contract: 12 month maternity cover
Our well respected client is seeking a dedicated and organised Storekeeper to join their team to cover a 12 month maternity contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain computerised records of spares, clothing, and cleaning materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new ones to ensure best value procurement
- Order equipment and clothing using procurement system and negotiate prices with suppliers
- Monitor stock levels, ensure proper stock rotation, and maintain organised storage.
- Populate and manage the asset register, conduct periodic stock checks, and reconcile the asset register
- Check daily cleaning material requirements and mix bulk cleaning fluids
- Manage the receipt, issue, and records of all equipment, clothing, and cleaning materials, including personal clothing and PPE for staff
- Maintain cleanliness within the stores, use handling equipment safely, and perform any other reasonable duties appropriate to the grade of the post
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in store and inventory management
- Experienced in negotiating and maintaining supplier relationships
- Ability to propose changes and improvements to stock management
- Knowledgeable about current Health and Safety regulations
