Job Title: Safety Advisor
Location: Burton Upon Trent (Office-Based with Site Visits)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, with a significant advantage for those with a background in structural steel. This role involves both office-based work and regular site visits, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Provide safety training and support to site personnel, ensuring awareness and adherence to safety standards.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a safety advisor role within the construction industry.
- Strong advantage for candidates with experience in structural steel projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
