Accounts Assistant, Farnham, to £30k + Hybrid Working

We are on the lookout for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join a dedicated, friendly and supportive finance team in Farnham. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Monthly Management Accounts process and oversee the Sales Ledger, ensuring all Balance Sheet Accounts are reconciled accurately.

Day to Day duties:

  • Execute monthly journal entries for Payroll, Depreciation, Prepayments, and other necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and associated Schedules.
  • Support the creation of Management Accounts for the Finance Manager's review.
  • Conduct thorough Balance Sheet Reconciliations each month.
  • Aid in producing the monthly Profit and Loss Schedules.
  • Manage the Sales Ledger, including issuing sales invoices and coordinating with stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.
  • Support the inter-company transaction process.
  • Contribute to the finalisation of Year End accounts.
  • Organise P11d and PSA submissions.
  • Step in to provide Accounts Payable support when necessary.
  • Tackle any additional finance admin tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in a comparable accounts role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Xero would be beneficial.
  • This role could suit someone studying for an AAT qualification or equivalent.
