Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of housekeeping to manage a team of 15 cleaners for our law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our offices and public areas, managing the cleaning schedule, and overseeing the work of the cleaning team. They should have excellent team management skills and the ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve high-quality cleaning standards. This role requires flexibility with working hours and a strong will to get things done.

You will be working Monday to Friday, occasionally Saturday, 15:00 to 00:00, 40 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Total responsibility for OCS soft services delivery at Milton Gate
  • Manage, train, coach and manage performance of the onsite OCS Housekeeping team
  • Develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that meets the needs of the law firm and ensures a high standard of cleanliness
  • Liaise with Facilities Manager in managing the OCS site housekeeping budget
  • Develop effective relationships with client ensuring their satisfaction with service delivery and meet regularly with your Facilities Manager
  • Manage and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to perform their duties effectively
  • Conduct regular inspections of the office and client areas to ensure that cleaning standards are being met
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly audits and reports as required.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are well-maintained and stocked
  • Investigate and report any complaints or issues related to cleaning services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a clean and well-maintained workplace environment
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Train and mentor new cleaning staff members
  • Prepared to go above and beyond assisting other departments on client events when required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Proven experience as a cleaning supervisor or similar role
  • Ability to manage a team of 15 cleaners
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility with working hours and ability to work evenings and weekends if needed
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques
  • Willingness to undergo a background check
  • Must be local to the area

Qualification and Experience:

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management preferred
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, property management systems).
  • Additional relevant certifications or training preferred
