This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious first time mover from a Top 10 practice to propel their career in industry as a Company Accountant. This opportunity is to join an industry-leading medical device organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Financial Accounts of the company, preparing financial reports, and managing a team of 5.

Description

  • Deliver financial reporting to Group on Balance Sheet, Cashflow & P&L results on time and quality on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for all Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee the preparation, review and submissions of various tax jurisdictions
  • Responsible for all outputs concerning the monthly and annual payroll processing, ensuring accuracy whilst supporting team members in achieving timely delivery, continuous process improvement and effective stakeholder management
  • Responsible for the delivery of all year-end duties, leading the Financial Accounting team to the completion of all tasks to maximise the integrity of the financial statements.
  • Ensure the department adheres to all internal control requirements under J-SOX
  • Review and approval of all fixed asset additions and disposals, and also any associated reporting to Group
  • Lead on assigned audit and statutory deliverables, ensuring all information/submissions are clear, accurate and on time

Profile

A successful Company Accountant should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Extensive experience within Big Four practice (Top 10 considered)
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Taxation.
