Non Flow Risk Manger

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Analyst to manage the underwriting and expert evaluation of lending across multiple business channels. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our credit processes, working in line with domestic and central risk policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert evaluation and underwriting of lending transactions across diverse business channels.
  • Align credit decisions with central and domestic risk policies, exercising individual discretion where applicable.
  • Maintain and promote good governance and compliance, ensuring all business transactions adhere to internal credit processes.
  • Oversee credit approval processes, collateral management, and restructuring while maintaining agreed service levels.
  • Evaluate and underwrite both structured lending and cash flow-based transactions, especially in the mid-ticket sector.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing transactions, assessing payment history, collateral value, and market trends, and recommend updates to credit ratings or facilities.
  • Collaborate with front-office teams to provide clear guidance on risk identification, analysis, and presentation.
  • Ensure all transactions meet appropriate credit sanction and compliance with industry regulations (AML, data protection, etc.).
  • Recommend credit decisions for transactions beyond your sanctioning authority and ensure all documentation meets risk requirements.

Person / Experience Required

  • 3-5 years of credit experience with a focus on structured lending and cash flow-based transactions.
  • Strong background in analysing and interpreting financial statements/data across a variety of industries.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a balanced understanding of commercial realities and business operations.
  • Solid understanding of the asset finance industry, including knowledge of available product offerings and funding facilities.
  • Ability to competently assess both unsecured and secured transactions in the mid-ticket lending space.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong written and verbal communication skills for clear, concise reporting.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations such as consumer credit laws, treating customers fairly (TCF), anti-money laundering (AML), and data protection.
  • Experience in exercising personal sanctioning authority with responsibility and care, as well as preparing recommendations for higher-level approvals.
