We're seeking a skilled Quality Manager to join this Salisbury business, a leader in manufacturing excellence. You will be at the forefront of quality assurance efforts, responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards and working hands on in the heart of the manufacturing process.

You'll be working in a supportive team and receive a company pension, free on-site parking and access to an employee benefits scheme that includes retail discounts. Working onsite Monday to Friday salary is CIRCA £40K

As a Quality Manager your role will involve:

  • Take the lead in the Quality team, overseeing the first-line management of the dedicated team. Your guidance and expertise will be instrumental in shaping a culture of quality excellence.
  • Exercise precise control over the inspection process for all parts received from suppliers. Utilise a range of manual and digital inspection and measuring devices and equipment to uphold exacting quality standards.
  • Initiate and investigate non-conforming parts, raising non-conformance reports, and working closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions and effective countermeasures. This will involve building working relationships with suppliers and communicating with them on the phone as well as some inside visits to understand their processes. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that products meet the highest standards
  • Collaborating with the Research and Development team on product development, where your expertise as a Quality Engineer will be essential.
  • Working hand in hand with the production team to address and resolve component quality issues, ensuring a seamless manufacturing process.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of all inspection details to support accurate record-keeping and the traceability of quality data.

What you'll need as the Quality Manager.

  • Previous experience in a quality role
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team
  • Ideally mechanical engineering experience.
