SEN Learning Support Assistant (Autism)

Rushden, Northamptonshire (NN10)

TimePlan Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants and SEN Learning Support Assistants for day to day, short term and long term supply work in SEN schools in Northamptonshire from September 2024.

In this role you will be supporting them throughout their education and lunches. We are looking for SEN professionals who have been around children and young people. Someone who has experience with Autism, whether that be within their own friends and family, or in their current role working in a school.

This role would also be great for someone who wants to move from the care industry with adults to working with SEN students in schools. We are happy to speak to anyone who feels confident working with young students with ASD, candidates who have worked in mainstream schools, youth clubs, or just finished college / uni and ready to start a new full time role that is rewarding where all training is provided on the job. You will attend the first day induction and if successful, continue on a long-term basis for the next academic year.

With a committed and passionate team of experienced Consultants, we are offering you the opportunity to work in a range of classroom environments across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic chance to work in a variety of schools to help you positively develop and enhance your skills as a Learning Support Assistant.

If you are looking for more work life flexibility or your next career change, this will be a great opportunity for you.

Successful applicants must have:

  • Experience working with young people/working with children
  • A UK DBS or willing to undertake one.
  • Ability to work 3 days a week minimum

In return TimePlan can offer:

  • TimePlan is a global company with strong and long-standing links to Schools across the country. Within our Hemel Hempstead Branch we source staff for Mainstream and SEND Schools in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
  • Competitive rates of pay

  • Continued support through all placements via a dedicated consultant

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in supporting pupils in a classroom environment, with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • The ability to demonstrate active strong communication skills
  • Patience
  • A desire to establish positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs

If this sounds like you then we want to hear from you. Apply for the role and we will be in touch.
