Maintenance Electrician

Are you a qualified Maintenance Electrician looking for a stable role in the Wiltshire area? Are you interested in handling both Planned and Reactive Maintenance, along with some minor installation projects? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

This established Facilities Services Provider has recently expanded its operations with a new office in Trowbridge. We're currently recruiting for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to cover a portfolio of commercial properties, including schools, offices, and smaller buildings throughout the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned Maintenance: Emergency light testing, fire alarm checks, and scheduled PPM tasks.
  • Reactive Maintenance: Fault-finding and repairs for lighting, power issues, and general electrical problems.
  • Remedial Work: Replacing lamps, lights, pumps, motors, and conducting 2nd-fix tasks such as sockets and switches.
  • Minor Installations: Supporting small installation projects across various sites.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic Mechanical Experience: Knowledge of HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, and general PPMs in plant rooms.
  • Testing & Inspection certification is advantageous.

Additional Duties:

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Participate in the call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support.
  • Oversee sub-contractors to ensure work quality and compliance with Health & Safety standards.
  • Flexibility to assist on other properties within the portfolio as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrician with 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Experience with HVAC and plant room maintenance.
  • Testing and inspection experience (desirable).
  • Strong background in commercial environments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driving license.
