Maintenance Surveyor
- Hourly Rate: £20.88 PAYE / £35 Umbrella
- Location: Hertfordshire (Borehamwood, Luton, Bedford, Stevenage)
- Job Type: Temporary until end of February 2025 (with likely extension)
We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Surveyor to join a large housing association on a temporary basis. The role involves handling legal disrepairs, damp and mould issues, and general domestic surveying across various locations in Hertfordshire.
Day to Day of the role:
- Conduct thorough inspections and surveys of properties to assess repair needs, particularly focusing on legal disrepairs, damp, and mould.
- Prepare detailed reports and specifications for maintenance works required.
- Liaise with contractors to ensure repair works are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage the progress of works, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Provide expert advice and support to residents regarding maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of surveys, works completed, and resident interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Surveyor, particularly within the domestic sector.
- Knowledge of legal disrepair cases and how to effectively handle them.
- Strong understanding of damp and mould issues and remediation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and travel across the specified locations.
- Relevant qualifications in surveying or a related field are desirable.
