We are recruiting for a temporary part time Local Business Development officer, for a lovely Childrens charity it is 3 days a week ,, if you like generating leads this is a perfect role for you. This role is a month but could be longer , supporting the team with extra workload .
YOU NEED a CURRENT Enhanced DBS in the last 6 months
Monday, Wednesdayand Thursday in the office or out in the local area
The Role
To act as the first point of contact for new Local Business Partners. This includes but is not limited to, recruiting new local business partners, responding to enquiries and providing support and advice in relation to partnering with Haven House.
Identify, research, and approach local businesses to secure support for the hospice.
To work with the Community and Events Manager to ensure current local businesses are supported as needed and to support new relationships built.
To utilise Raisers Edge database to record and track donor interactions.
Organise and deliver, if applicable, presentations and meetings to promote the hospices mission and opportunities for collaboration.
To develop tailored approaches to recruit new local business support from across the local community.
Monitor and report on outreach activity, fundraising income and engagement.
The Candidate
Knowledge and understanding of fundraising
Knowledge and understanding of the importance of building relationships with supporters
High standard of interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Confident in public speaking and able to present to an audience
Experience in sales, business development, community fundraising or partnership management
Excellent IT skills and CRM Databases , ideally Raisers Edge
