Expense Specialist Consultant- Interim - Hybrid/Remote - Birmingham
The Expenses Specialist Consultant plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the company's expense reporting and reimbursement processes. The role is essential in ensuring accurate and compliant management of company expenses, contributing to financial transparency, control, and operational efficiency
Duties:
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits related to expense management, providing documentation and support as needed
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve expense management processes, systems, and workflows
- Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to employees on expense reporting procedures, tools, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on expense trends, variances, and budget adherence to support decision-making and financial planning
- Expense Management: Process and review employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and guidelines
- Reimbursement Processing: Handle the timely and accurate processing of expense reimbursements, including verifying receipts and documentation
You'll be working closely with various teams to identify the responsibility of ownership for queries, resolving those within a set timescale.Ideally you will have experience of working with expense systems, experienced troubleshooting technical user errors and experience of configuration.
Working with a fantastic team of people, they are looking for someone who can get their sleeves rolled up and build internal relationships. Transactional management experience would be an advantage.
