HYBRID POSITION

Salary: Upto £27,000 per annum - Depending on experience

Our welcoming Client is looking for a confident and dynamic candidate to provide support for the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) competent authority and Consumer Codes Approval Scheme areas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • assist as part of the team approving alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies and Approved Code Sponsor organisations in the UK.
  • involvement in the auditing of alternative dispute resolution bodies.
  • report writing and presentations.
  • Recording report data, collating other data as required.
  • arranging and attending meetings and audits.
  • dealing with consumer complaints about ADR and CCAS bodies.
  • website sweeps investigating and reporting on website content and its adherence to approval rules
  • developing and maintain sufficient consumer legal knowledge to be able to review ADR cases for legal correctness.
  • communicate effectively with consumers and traders through means including the telephone and written correspondence including emails.
  • dealing with incoming communications.
  • comply with all performance, quality and data protection requirements set by the organisation.
  • to keep up to date with all relevant UK Consumer ADR legislation.
  • assist with the timely response to Department for Business & Trade (DBT) on matters including reporting, consultations and ADR development.
  • utilise the information generated by the team to support the role of consumer policy, promotion and public relations activities.
  • support promotion and information giving activities including attending events and the production of promotional/information materials.
  • Occasional overnight national travel, in delivery of the role for audits, conference and similar events.
  • Assisting the executive and manager as required.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines, and within required standards and requirements.
  • computer literate.
  • ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised.
  • ability to self-learn using available resources such as internet, reference materials, appropriate research etc.
  • strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks.
  • ability to communicate with different audiences.
  • commitment to delivering team objectives.
  • attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • ability to switch between tasks when required and prioritise tasks with little assistance.

Desirable:

  • presentation skills to a variety of audiences.
  • experience of auditing.
  • consumer law knowledge.
