We are currently recruiting for three new staff members to join our People Services Department at Merseyside Police. A vacancy has arisen on each of the following;

Payroll Customer Service Team

To support the Force's Payroll Team under the direction of the Payroll Customer Service Team Leader by providing 1st class Customer Service to both Staff/Officers & Stakeholders when dealing with Payroll/Pension queries via calls/emails/face to face/Service Requests.

BAU/Volume Recruitment Team - References & Qualifications

To support both the BAU and Volume Recruitment Team Leaders and the extended teams by managing Job References & Qualifications and supporting with the administration around our Recruitment Processes.

Transactional Team

To support the Team Leader in providing a comprehensive and effective HR Shared Services function to the Force through the effective management of workloads, monitoring of performance and the provision of timely, advice & guidance and quality data.

Candidates should have the following knowledge & experience when applying for the roles

CIPD level 3 is desirable or previous experience of working in a Shared Service Centre environment.

The post holder must possess good analytical skills with the ability research and produce accurate and relevant data in order to facilitate the provision of performance management data.

A good understanding of a HR Shared Service working environment, with the ability to adapt to change, challenge where required and use initiative to improve service provision.

It is ideal that the post holder has previous experience in a HR related environment with experience and knowledge of HR processes and procedures and supporting legislative frameworks to enable correct advice and information to be given to all customer groups.

The post holder must possess good interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

Must be IT literate with an ability to use MS Office applications, experience and understanding of HR related IT systems to monitor and ensure high levels of accuracy and data integrity of these systems.

The post holder must have the ability to work flexibly and deliver effectively during periods of pressure and prioritise in order to meet required deadlines
