IT Procurement Manager

We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager/IT Procurement Manager to oversee our company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain operations. This role is crucial for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost-efficient deals without compromising on quality.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Negotiate with software, hardware, and IT services suppliers to agree on pricing, delivery schedules, exclusivity deals, and rebates.
  • Secure the best terms of agreements and ensure timely delivery of products in compliance with purchase contracts.
  • Track purchasing trends and secure commercial agreements where required.
  • Evaluate supplier options based on prices, quality, and determine the best options.
  • Manage the end-to-end supplier onboarding process.
  • Onboard new vendor lines and secure commercials, working alongside the Vendor Alliance Team.
  • Oversee the purchasing of internal goods, ensuring cost-effectiveness and budget compliance.
  • Forge and maintain trusted relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing.
  • Serve as the escalation point for after-sales support queries, liaising with vendors and suppliers for appropriate resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing frameworks and ISO standards.
  • Identify, mitigate, manage, and monitor risks within the supply chain.
  • Support the company's information security policy and data protection efforts.
  • Assist the Bids Team with tender responses relating to supply chain management.
  • Create, manage, and maintain policy documents relevant to supply chain.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective negotiations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit, discounts, and rebates.
  • Commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control standards.
  • Goal-oriented, organised team player who can work well with management and staff at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a creative mindset.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to plan ahead.
