Full-time 37 hours per week Location: Stafford College Salary: Total Overall package of up to £57,440 in year 1 as follows: Salary (Lecturer) - £30,000 – £40,000

Salary (Curriculum Leader) - £34,414 – £44,000

Employer Pension Contributions up to £12,584

Golden Hello Payment: upto £5,000 OR

DfE bursary of upto £6,000 (if in 1<sup>st</sup> 5 years of teaching

We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual who will play a crucial role in realising the department's strategic objectives. You will be an inspiring lecturer with a background in Electrical Building Services. You will also have the ability to deliver varied, high quality and imaginative sessions and have a record of good achievement rates.

You will need to demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity towards a variety of learner needs and support the delivery team with a range of innovative teaching approaches to enable learners to reach their full potential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a flexible and innovative curriculum that is responsive to feedback from current learners and anticipates likely changes in demand from future learners.
  • Deliver excellent standards of teaching and learning across all areas within the curriculum area.
  • Undertake the day-to-day co-ordination of staff within the course team so that the College can achieve its overall objective of being excellent in all areas.
  • To deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes as appropriate.
  • To secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement and success, attendance and progression are met.
  • To support the design and development of T level Building Services Engineering provision and Higher Technical Construction programmes.
  • To teach on a range of full-time, part-time and apprenticeship programmes at Level 3 - 5 in Engineering.
  • To support the design and development of programmes in Engineering, which includes the new technical qualifications (T Levels), and higher technical qualifications at Levels 4 - 5, whilst leading a highly effective teaching team in this area of provision.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Has qualifications at Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Construction discipline, and/or has recent and relevant industrial experience in related topics. Qualifications up to Level 6 would be desirable.
  • Has relevant experience in teaching/training and skills development.
  • Has /holds the relevant industry standard certificates (JIB Gold Card/ AM2) would be desirable.
  • Is experienced in a core field of BSE [Electrical] and has an understanding of technology development in this field.
  • Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
  • Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
