Account Executive

Amazing opportunity for an Account Executive to join a Tourism & Marketing Agency in London our portfolio of services includes sales & reservations, marketing, and PR. This role will be to provide project management and reporting services for a Tourism Board. Fluency in mandarin is essential for this role.

The Job:

  • To represent the client in a professional and knowledgeable way to travel trade partners and commercial entities.
  • To increase awareness of the destination to both the travel trade and public sectors
  • To maintain existing and secure new trade relations with travel agents, tour operators and all other trade entities
  • To present the destination product information to the trade and train front line staff
  • Taking calls from both the general public and trade partners
  • Providing excellent customer service both on the telephone and face-to-face
  • Liaising with the client's local management and head office on a regular basis
  • Weekly and Monthly reports to submitted to the client.
  • To maintain a successful working relationship and cooperation with the client team, management, and headquarters.
  • Handling of tourism marketing and promotional matters
  • Handling the planning and implementation of marketing and promotional activities
  • Participate in travel exhibitions and marketing campaigns in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
  • Manage social media platforms of the client with regular posts and general maintenance.
  • Manage and implement digital marketing projects and activities.
  • Monitoring competitor activity in the market and provide feed-back vie required reporting lines.
  • Interpreting revenue statistics, data and providing statistical reports.
  • Identifying new sources of interest from UK, Ireland and Scandinavian travel trade and corporate market
  • Reporting and reacting to market conditions.
  • Provide reports/feedback on the Destination's competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Preparing regular sales activity reports
  • Build and maintain required contact channels with key third party entities such as Airlines, media outlets and general suppliers for the benefit of the client.
  • Manage the client's project and other administrative assignments.
  • You may be required to travel both domestically and internationally - willingness to travel is essential.

Skills required:

  • Fluency in Mandarin & English
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Software, Canvas & Mailchimp
  • Skilled in the use of social media
  • Experience in social media platform operation & management.
  • Digital Marketing - essential
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills, creativity, flexibility, and tolerance
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be customer focused, well presented and well spoken.
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Must be professional whilst under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

The Package:

  • Salary up to £30,000
  • This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of being increased to 24 months.
  • London based.
