FP& A Analyst - Digital & Group Services

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, passionate

FP&A Analyst

to become an integral part of the Digital and Group Services Finance function. You will be actively responsible for preparing financial reporting, consolidations, analysis and forecasting, with strong financial controls and critical evaluation embedded in the processes.

We require an inquisitive "go getter" to be a pioneer in the continuous improvement and standardisation across Retail, Group Services and Digital team.

What you will be doing as FP&A Analyst- Digital & Group Services

  • Responsible for supporting the annual budgeting, and forecasting processes including IBP.
  • Gain a clear understanding of the business unit's finance proposals, including cost drivers, KPIs and expected outcomes, challenging where required
  • Establish strong working relationships with the wider finance team and meet regularly to ensure smooth running of the process
  • Support delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis and reporting – highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances
  • Gain a good understanding of financial performance through regular reviews - proactively highlight risks and opportunities identified. Track efficiency performance
  • Drive continuous improvement with the finance team. Including (but not limited to) automation, efficiency, standardisation. Also, support any wider plans to upgrade or change financial systems
  • Regularly influencing and presenting to senior finance management, key findings from financial analysis
  • Maintain strong working relationships with finance teams across the business unit to ensure strong engagement in planning, forecasting and performance issues
  • Working across the team to establish best practices and establish standard operating procedures framework

What you should bring to the role ?

  • A dynamic Qualified accountant
  • Strong analytical, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • System experience with SAP, Power BI and HFM preferable
  • Strong attention to detail whilst being able to see the broader picture
  • Significant communications experience - presenting financial analysis to senior management
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise own work effectively
  • Proactive and ambitious - sets high goals for self and continuously strives to improve
  • Continuous improvement and standardisation experience
