Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

I am seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Team. This role involves performing basic repairs and ensuring that facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have a background in the service apartment industry, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Complete minor repair work, including repairing doors, locks, door frames, handles, and replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues requiring immediate attention.
- Install appliances and equipment.
- Maintain garden/yard areas, including trash collection.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting equipment and systems like ventilation.
- Check functionality of safety systems such as fire alarms.
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Report to the Maintenance Supervisor for issues needing further follow-up or investigation.
- Take inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Supervisor of low and depleted supplies.
- Handle plumbing-related issues, including unclogging drains and fixing leaks.
- Engage in painting, decorating, masking, and grouting.
- Respond promptly to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
- Train and develop the maintenance team.
- Maintain good working relationships with Housekeeping and Reception.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven general maintenance experience.
- Sound knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical wiring.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and excellent customer care abilities.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Team player with sound health and safety awareness.
