Accountant
- Salary: £40k- £42K p.a. (pro-rata for contract)
- Hourly rate: £20.50- £21.53 per hour PAYE or £25.65 - £26.97 per hour via am umbrella company.
- Location: Redhill, Surrey (Hybrid working- 2-3 days in the office per week)
- Job Type: Interim -37.5 hours

- Contract Length: Until end of December 2024 (possible extension)
We are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team on an interim basis. This role is ideal for a dynamic and proactive individual who is part-qualified or qualified with experience in financial processes and controls. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial statements through balance sheet reconciliation, internal control reviews, and month-end closing activities. Assisting the regulatory accountant with this project.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist in reviewing and evaluating internal processes and controls, identifying any deficiencies.
- Provide expert advice on the design and implementation of effective internal controls.
- Support the month-end closing process and the preparation of management accounts.
- Participate in reforecasting and budgeting exercises to align financial projections with business objectives.
- Tackle other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant with relevant experience.
- Proven experience with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong background in streamlining processes, designing, and implementing effective controls.
- Auditing experience focused on internal controls is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to liaise with all levels of finance to discuss current processes and how they could be improved.
