The Chef Manager is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations within the school, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining sanitation standards, and managing kitchen staff. This role involves menu planning, inventory management, cost control, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional food service.

As our ideal Chef Manager, you will:

  • Have excellent craft skills
  • Preferably have experience of working in the independent school sector
  • Have proven experience of managing and leading a team
  • Have a proven track record of continually improving standards
  • Have good communication skills at all levels
  • Have a positive out going disposition and real ‘Can-do' approach
  • Be passionate about food with excellent culinary skills and a great eye for detail
  • The ability to manage the kitchen and train the team to standards required
  • Have a desire to learn and grow with us as a company
  • Have financial and budget awareness
  • The ability to understand and complete daily all relevant food and health and safety compliance books
  • The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
