Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Kirklees. Starting in September 2024, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
  • Support the development of students' literacy, numeracy, and social skills through targeted interventions.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress, offering feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
  • Support students with special educational needs, adapting resources and strategies to meet their individual requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive school culture, promoting the school's values and ethos.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about education and committed to helping every student achieve their potential. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • A solid understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the challenges students may face.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning and development.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
