Supporter Care Manager

Our client is looking for a Supporter Care Manager as their team is growing! It's an exciting time to join us as they introduce a role that will support ambitious plans for expansion over the next few years.

The Supporter care team, which sits within the Income Generation and Communications team, manages relationships throughout our community increasing awareness of the charity and raising vital funds to contribute to the cost of our care. Our supporters are dedicated, committed and extremely generous in the multitude of ways that they provide support.

Position: Supporter Care Manager

Location: Cambridge

Hours: Part-time, 27 to 32 hours per week

Salary: £36,100 - £43,471 per annum pro rata

Closing Date: 8th September 2024

About the Role:

This role will take primary responsibility for the management of the fundraising and communications database, ensuring accurate and efficient fundraising administration and supporter care functions. The Supporter Care Manager will play a critical part in enhancing supporter experience through the development of our customer relationship management database (Donorflex) also providing organisational insights to help colleagues optimise their knowledge of our supporters.

The role holder will have four direct reports and be required to develop and inspire the team to provide a first-rate supporter experience, ensuring supporters receive appropriate and timely communications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Database development and management
  • Data management, ensuring all data is inputted and maintained accurately
  • Management of data reports
  • Line management of the Supporter Care team.

About You:

As Supporter Care Manager, you will have excellent attention to detail, you will also have strong organisation and evaluation skills and the ability to prioritise workload and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.

You will approach all tasks with the aim of providing the best possible experience for the supporter and have confidence in reporting to produce high-quality and robust reports and papers.

This role requires a deep understanding of CRM systems and the ability to maintain and develop procedures to ensure first-class supporter care, accurate activity analysis, and compliance with GDPR and fundraising regulations.

Essential requirements for this role:

  • Degree in management information systems, computer science or a related field or equivalent, or the equivalent working experience
  • Extensive experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Experience in office work and administration
  • Experience in customer services and liaising with supporters across a variety of channels
  • Experience in generating and sustaining income sources
  • Experience in data capture of Gift Aid, supporter preferences and suppressions to produce rich and meaningful data sets
  • Line management; training, supporting, coaching and developing a team/individual to achieve objectives
