We are seeking a highly motivated Compartmentation Surveyor to join our growing fire safety consultancy. In this crucial role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring buildings meet fire regulations and protecting occupants.
What you'll do:
- Conduct comprehensive compartmentation surveys in various buildings (residential, commercial, etc.)
- Inspect fire compartmentation measures (fire walls, ceilings, floors, and doors) for compliance with building regulations and fire safety standards
- Identify and report any deficiencies or potential fire hazards
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate fire survey reports with recommendations for remedial action
- Liaise with clients to provide fire safety advice and ensure they understand survey findings
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with fire safety legislation
What you'll bring:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Compartmentation Surveyor
- A strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compartmentation principles (BS EN 13501 series)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A valid driving license (ideally)
