I am actively seeking a skilled Associate Structure Engineer to join a busy, successful highly experienced Multidiscipline Construction Consultancy based in Buckinghamshire. As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will assist in managing one of their busiest structural teams where you will have the opportunity to contribute to help the business grow through various structural engineering projects, such as industrial, residential, education, commercial, and leisure venues.

The successful applicant will ideally be someone who has significant experience in structural design, as well as having exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and spoken English. Preferably the candidate will have strong management and technical skills to help the business thrive by implementing necessary changes for continued growth.

It is essential for the candidate to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:

  • To be a Chartered Engineer and Member of either Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers
  • Knowledge of technical software with S-Frame, CADS, SCIA, TEDDS and Tekla Structural Designer
  • A commercial understanding of fee management is essential
  • Actively seek new business opportunities as well as maintaining existing client base
  • As well as a good team player you will also need to have enthusiasm, drive and determination to meet the demands of a position at this level.
  • Conversant with NHBC Standards and understanding of UK Building Regulations and Eurocodes

Duties and responsibilities for Associate Structure Engineer include:

  • Liaise with Group Technical and Production Manager and make recommendations on technical software and or training
  • Contribute to Group activities and make recommendations for improving all areas of the business as and when requested
  • Attend Associate meetings on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure client satisfaction at all stages of the design process
