Our well-established client service the Aerospace, F1, Oil & Gas, and Defence sectors. They are currently recruiting for an Estimating Engineer with CNC Machining knowledge to join their growing team!
Estimator Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle sales orders, enquiries, queries and quotes
- Work closely with customers regarding product specifications, order details, delivery and further arrangements
- Liaise with customers over the phone and via email, regarding technical and non-technical questions, providing a client-centric service
- Create timely and accurate estimates and quotations from customer enquiries and technical drawings
- estimating all machining, materials, and inspection times for in-house elements and incorporate externally sourced elements such as sub-contract
- Develop and maintain new and existing supplier relationships
- Understand and identify machining methods of manufacture and select accurate cycle times
- Liaise with other departments to ensure a speedy resolution to any and all issues that arise
The ideal Estimator will:
- Extensive experience within precision engineering is required with extensive knowledge of machine capabilities / machining practices
- The ability to read and translate technical drawings
- Be IT literate including Microsoft and Internal Databases
- CNC Turning & Boring experience is a distinct advantage
Working Hours + Benefits:
- Full-time, permanent office-based role
- Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00 / Friday: 08:00 - 14:30
- Additional Christmas shutdown days
