Looking for a new role and have a passion for Employee Relations? Our client is growing rapidly and as a result is looking to strengthen the HR team and appoint an HR Advisor, specialising in all Employee Relations aspects within the team. Reporting into the HR Director, you will have responsibility for:

Employee Relations

  • Ensuring HR related policies and procedures are current and compliant with employment legislation.
  • Leading on ER cases and HR queries.
  • Proactively working to reduce ER cases.
  • Liaising with ACAS for early conciliation.
  • Supporting on employment tribunal work where required.
  • Providing advice and guidance to employees and line managers on issues relating to employment issues.
  • Working with the People Assistant to manage long term absence and ensure employees' mental and physical wellbeing is suitably supported throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Acting as the point of escalation for more complex welfare cases.

Learning and Development

  • Identify training needs of employees.
  • Coaching and developing people managers in HR related areas.
  • Supporting on Talent Management and Succession Planning initiatives as appropriate.
  • Support with the development of the People Assistant and HR Apprentice.

Knowledge Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in all areas of HR
  • Ability to problem solve and influence decision making
  • Experience of working in a small HR team
  • Handling recruitment campaigns on a medium scale

Desirable (but not essential)

  • CIPD Level 5
  • Project leading
  • Supporting field-based managers and employees
