The Role

The role of a Technical Deliverables Manager is crucial in ensuring the success of United Utilities' AMP8 Capital Programme. This position requires a strategic leader who can effectively manage a diverse team of professionals, including Asset Registration and De-registration Data Maintainers, Technical Authors, Document Controllers, and DSEAR coordinators. The primary focus is to guarantee that all technical documents and outputs are delivered on time and meet the highest standards of quality.

Collaboration with engineers, designers, and both internal and external stakeholders is a key aspect of this role, ensuring that all technical deliverables comply with industry standards and project specifications. As a new addition to the organisation, the Technical Deliverables Manager will also be tasked with shaping and aligning the team's processes and goals to the overarching objectives of the AMP8 Capital Programme. This involves a deep understanding of operational requirements and the ability to foster a cohesive and efficient working environment.

In-person site attendance in Lingley Mere, Warrington is required three days per week to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration, alongside some travel to other sites in the North West and flexible hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Oversee the SharePoint for the Integration and Commissioning team, ensuring technical documents are current and reflect updated practices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to maintain Asset Standard S15 and contribute to other technical specifications.
  • Develop and manage schedules for deliverables, overseeing document reviews and stakeholder communications.
  • Guarantee that technical deliverables are aligned and ready for Authority to Operate (ATO) and Takeover stages.
  • Liaise consistently with the standardisation team to ensure uniformity across all delivery streams and directorates.

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified to degree level/HND equivalent or have equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of providing technical advice, influencing and directing the delivery of successful technical outcomes.
  • Working knowledge and experience of Commissioning, Integration and Takeover processes & philosophies.
  • Hold a current Full UK driving licence.
