A school in Thatcham is on the hunt for a ASD Teaching Assistant, to support their SEN students managing many forms of Autism from ASD to Aspergers. This ASD Teaching Assistant role covers all year groups from Reception to Year 6, managing 1:1 sessions with the Thatcham students according to their educational plans.
The ASD Teaching Assistant role:
- Full time basis, 8:30am-4:30pm daily (Term time only).
- ASD/Autism experienced (Level 2 qualification preferable)
- Level 2 Teaching assistant qualification
- 1:1 sessions to enable the KS1/KS2 studen
- Must have an enhanced DBS (or williness to get one)
- ts to access the mainstream curriculum.
- £83.33 - £90 daily pay (depending on experience)
Any candidates with no formal ASD/SEN qualifications are welcome to apply, the Thatcham based Primary school recognises the importance of real life experiences with SEN. It may be you have been a career or support system of someone with similar ASD needs. They want to hear from you!
Desirable but not essential:
- A clean driving licence
- A degree in Pyschology or similar subject
- GCSE in Maths and English above grade 4/C
