Job Description:
Our client, a leading law firm in London, is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their busy Residential Property team. The successful candidate will provide key support in managing a high volume of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to post-completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the conveyancing process for residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, and re-mortgages.
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders, ensuring effective communication throughout the transaction.
- Conduct property searches, review title documents, and handle enquiries from other parties.
- Prepare SDLT returns, submit applications to the Land Registry, and manage post-completion tasks.
- Maintain and update case management systems, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide general administrative support to the conveyancing team, including file management.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process, including knowledge of Land Registry and SDLT requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
