The Role: Junior Administration Assistant

We have a fabulous opportunity for someone who has recently completed their Secondary School or College education looking to start their career within the insurance industry. There will be a particular enthesis on property and construction.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to colleagues to ensure we exceed the Company's expectations on renewal retention:
  • Provide support to Account Executives (AE) and Senior Account Handler (SAH), in both the renewal / new business process. Work will include but not limited to; engagement with insurers in chasing terms, producing risk submissions for insurers, chasing up clients for risk information, requesting claims experience from insurers and/or loss adjusters, liaising with insurers regarding mid-term policy amendments, following up on outstanding client invoices, assisting with account queries, efficient management of specific risk information files to ensure underwriters can pin-point any technical information they need to complete underwriting of the a risk.
  • Carry out PIB Due Diligence and Sanction Check process.
  • Adhere to company broking standards
  • To demonstrate the right behaviours both in the presence of clients, insurers and colleagues.
  • To take ownership and responsibility for the allocated renewals under £5,000 premium.
  • To provide general administrative support to colleagues, including credit control, Acturis updates and ensure PIB's Quality Assurance and due diligence measures are all met:
  • Maintain client records on Acturis (insurance computer system)
  • Emails to Clients and Insurers stored into Electronic File
  • Maintain PIB Quality Assurance procedures in relation to evidence of cover, contract certainty and treating customer fairly.
  • Invoicing
  • To work in partnership with our claims handling team, providing any specific information they require to report and/or manage a claim with insurers and loss adjusters.
  • Diary and chase our claims team to ensure a timely service is being demonstrated
  • Keep the Account Executive informed of large notifications and any trends.
  • Ensure efficient office management and general housekeeping:
  • Writing & Dispatching routine letters/emails
  • Answering general telephone queries
  • Photocopying and scanning documents
  • Opening post
  • Attending any relevant functions/seminars where applicable. This also forms part of your continuous professional assessment.
