A rare and exciting opportunity is now available for a Leisure and Activities Manager for a fantastic holiday park in East Sussex. If you are working in Pool Management, Leisure or Activities and have a passion for developing customer experience, this is an opportunity not to miss!

This exciting role will play a leading part in the execution of a new phase of development for my client. Focused on delivering an enhanced offering for holiday makers and owners involving outdoor and indoor experiences including high ropes, zip wires, swimming pools with slides, adventure golf and much, much more!

This role will oversee the operational delivery of all on park activities and experiences. The main aim of the role is to deliver an industry leading experience for all customers whilst maximising revenue and profit and adhering to all health & safety measures.

The main responsibilities of the Leisure Activities Manager are:

  • Efficiently managing, organising and supervising the Leisure and Activities departments.
  • Ensure delivery of the financial targets of the department's P&L and company guest experience KPI's.
  • Recruiting, retaining, motivating, training and consistently developing the Heads of Departments along with their direct reports.
  • Taking full responsibility of all revenue streams within the departments.
  • Managing agreed budgets of controllable expenses and wage costs, alongside determining and implementing strategies to increase year on year sales and to achieve agreed gross profit margins throughout reporting departments.
  • A key focus area is agreeing and monitoring business plans and performance targets with department managers and taking appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensuring the safety of customers and team members and security of all activities and leisure equipment, chemicals, plant rooms and pools.
  • Ensure that customer feedback is regularly monitored and responded to accordingly.

Essential -

  • Passion for delivering the ultimate customer experience
  • Experience of planning and organising projects
  • Experience in leading and developing a team
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Have previous experience of successfully delivering an Activities and Leisure programme

Desirable -

  • NPLQ Lifeguard qualification
  • Pool Plant Operations qualification
  • Hold RLSS Trainer Assessor Qualification
  • Hold a National Pool Managers Qualification
