A primary school in Windsor & Maidenhead is looking for a committed Specialist SEN Mentor to join their team immediately. This role involves working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, providing both academic and emotional support. A degree in any discipline and excellent communication skills are highly desirable, and prior experience working with children-whether through tutoring, coaching, or youth work-is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities
As a Specialist SEN Mentor, you will:

  • Support pupils with Autism and additional needs, enabling them to achieve their potential.
  • Assist in literacy and numeracy lessons, tailoring support to individual student needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers to foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Promote students' emotional and social development, addressing barriers to learning.

  • Experience: Previous SEN experience is beneficial but not essential; enthusiasm and dedication are key!
