Shift Pattern: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm

Our client, a rapidly growing international manufacturing company located on the Wirral, is searching for a highly motivated Project Engineer to join their innovative team.

In this role, you'll take the lead on a variety of critical engineering projects, including building modifications, facility upgrades, site services, and enhancements to production equipment and processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be responsible for scoping, planning, implementing, and delivering engineering projects of varying scales and complexities, all within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and scope.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure designs meet standards by reviewing and documenting required processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, including cost estimates and labour requirements.
  • Take full ownership of capital expenditure projects, ensuring solutions deliver solid returns on investment.
  • Coordinate all activities with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and third parties.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and review invoices to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Present project reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and key achievements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with 5S, TPM, and WCM methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and relevant codes.
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as instrumentation and automation.
  • Analytical thinker, capable of addressing complex challenges and delivering practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and technical proficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple, technically complex engineering projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
