DESPATCH ASSISTANT / STEVENAGE / £23,056 PER ANNUM + BENEFITS

We have an exciting new opening for a Despatch Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role, where you will package and dispatch products, and deliver them as necessary.

Key Responsibilities of the Despatch Assistant / Driver:
- To prepare outgoing goods in suitable packing to daily despatch notes.
- Ensure goods are sent by the appropriate despatch method.
- Maintain courier paperwork.
- Liaise with shop floor supervision to co-ordinate the movement of product into despatch on a daily basis.
- Raise delivery notes against delivery note request paperwork, as required, using the Vantage system.
- Maintain the finished goods stores, duties to include the movement of goods to this area, organisation and tidiness and annual stock check.
- Deliver and collect goods from our customers and suppliers as required, ensuring that any site/company requirements are observed.
- Use the company vehicles, as required ensuring daily mileage and petrol log is completed. Liaise with Accounts Department for toll fees and petrol receipts
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar despatch / picker / packer role
- Background in manufacturing / production environment
- Strong level of computer literacy
- High level of accuracy and keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Full clean driving licence
