Salary: £80,000 - £100,000

Working hours: 37.5 hours a week

Please note that this role is fully office-based, Monday to Friday, therefore right to work in the UK is a requirement.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer

Do you have previous experience as a Marketing Director, with the ability to lead a creative team to strict deadlines? If so, TeacherActive are looking for someone like you.

The role of a Marketing Director:

  • Creating, developing and implementing TeacherActive's marketing strategy to deliver the required results across the TeacherActive, Home Classroom and My-Progression brands.
  • Overseeing all areas of the marketing and creative services departments. This may include digital, direct marketing, print marketing, media marketing, social media marketing, market research and collaboration with external agencies.
  • Further developing the corporate brand and being responsible for the brand guidelines in line with business strategy.
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring TeacherActive complies with current marketing and copyright regulations as well as accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Leading a team to create all the visual and written content required to improve business and the brands.
  • Analysing key marketing performance metrics and using tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to formulate actionable insights for the marketing team.
  • Formulating unique insights to understand the customer from a marketing perspective.
  • Using marketing insights to contribute towards the overall business strategy.
  • Managing and organising digital campaigns across the academic year.
  • Ensuring constant improvement of social media engagement.
  • Overseeing the development of the website as a central source of information, optimising SEO to drive traffic, engagement and conversations.
  • Optimising lead generation and PPC investment.
  • Constantly improving TeacherActive's marketing processes and systems to drive efficiencies.
  • Ensuring high quality and regular blog content, thought leadership articles and PR is released
  • Conducting regular research and analysis of competitors.
  • Monitoring wider market trends to ensure all potential advertising avenues are explored.
  • Undertaking analysis of all marketing initiatives, share learnings with the team and apply learnings to improve future plans, to improve customer experience and ROI.
  • Providing regular updates to the Board- on timelines, deliverables, performance and market analysis
  • Proactively working with third parties and external stakeholders.
  • Briefing employees on current marketing goals, campaigns and other relevant information.
  • Aligning the team to TeacherActive's culture.
  • Recognising employee achievements and encouraging excellence in the work environment.
  • Working to ensure all staff receive the best possible development.
  • Evaluating team and individual performance, providing feedback and coaching as appropriate.
  • Interacting with internal customers on a regular basis to ensure high levels of satisfaction and to act on feedback.
  • Managing business plans and budgets, allocating funds, and defining financial objectives.
  • Adhering to high ethical and professional standards.
  • Reflecting on your own performance to continually improve your knowledge, skills and development.

Key skills/experience required:

  • Previous experience as a marketing director.
  • A proven track record of exceeding growth and targets.
  • Evidence of recruiting and developing high performing teams.
  • The ability to drive strong activity levels.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • A high standard of written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
