Full time position starting ASAP - Temp position estimated until Nov'24

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to lead the Street Homelessness Accommodation Team within a Housing Advisory Service. This role is perfect for someone who is ready to set up and develop a new team, provide effective leadership to Street Homeless Accommodation Support Practitioners, and ensure the delivery of proactive support to applicants with multiple and complex needs.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the team to deliver high performance and ensure that corporate/departmental practices are implemented.
  • Manage budgets and projects within the service, ensuring effective cost management and prioritisation.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, recommending improvements based on evidence.
  • Coach and support staff development and recommend service improvement areas based on relevant data.
  • Communicate effectively with elected members and other partners/stakeholders.
  • Collaborate constructively with partner organisations and stakeholders, including internal services and colleagues.
  • Build a culture of trust within the team and contribute to the management of the wider Housing Advisory Service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage, coach, and motivate teams, setting clear targets and expectations. - Previous Team Management experience is essential.
  • Experience managing performance and implementing plans and projects to time and budget.
  • Significant experience in management within a statutory or non-statutory homelessness service.
  • Knowledge of welfare, housing, and homelessness policy, strategies, legislation, and case law.
  • High levels of customer service and satisfaction.
