A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting for an Internal Audit Associate Manager in their Audit Department in London.
The role involves supporting the administration and preparation of documentation to comply with J-SOX which is the Japanese version of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and involves a system to ensure internal controls of financial reporting and the correct external financial reporting

TYPE: Permanent, full-time
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 17:00 (Flexible start time between 7:00 - 11:00 possible)
SALARY: £40K - £45K depending on experience, plus good benefits
BENEFITS: Discretionary annual performance related bonus.

LOCATION: City of London (Hybrid working, 2 days working from home after successful completion of probationary period)

Senior Audit Assistant Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparation and administration of the J-SOX and internal audit for Europe and the CIS area.
  • Perform J-SOX testing in line with the regulation and internal control compliance testing
  • Identify risk areas and work together with Internal Audit and all departments to minimise risk and implement countermeasures
  • Internal Audit report drafting
  • Ad hoc administration duties as required

Senior Audit Assistant Ideal Candidate:

  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication
  • Five years' experience in J Sox/ internal audit
  • Advanced IT skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • SAP experience - downloading data from SAP for data analysis and collation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Cooperative, flexible and "Can do" attitude
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and understanding the organisation
  • Ability to liaise professionally with business departments
  • Strong organisational skills and time management
  • IRM/IIA Qualification or equivalent
