We have a role available for a Transport Yard Co-Ordinator. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers' orders are delivered to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. You'll provide excellent organisation skills within the Transport Department whilst operating within a safe working environment and ensuring legal compliance to all Health & Safety standards. The hours of work are 06:30 – 15:00 Monday to Friday with overtime when required.
More About the Role:
- Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
- Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
- Organising and arranging the loading of all windows and doors ready for next day deliveries.
- Short/ long distance driving, if required.
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers' orders.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
- Assist in warehouse inventory controls using handheld scanners.
- Handle stock with care, promptly reporting damages or shortages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
- Ensure efficient operations by following operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
- Loading and checking all deliveries are scanned out and complete.
- Unloading and checking glass deliveries.
About You
- Ideally experience in a transport environment.
- Excellent communication skills and numerical skills.
- Positive and flexible attitude to work.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure documentation is correct and error free.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Clean driving licence.
- Must be over 25 years of age for fleet insurance.
