About the Role:As a representative of dedicated and skilled Qualified SEN Teachers, we are excited to offer an opportunity at an SEN School in the Stoke-on-Trent/ Newcastle-under-Lyme area. SEN Teachers are essential in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that students with diverse learning requirements receive the necessary support to achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Support:

Assist children and young people in the classroom with their academic work and social skills development.

  • Lesson Planning:

Develop tailored lesson plans for each student based on their abilities and unique needs.

  • Team Collaboration:

Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to provide comprehensive support.

  • Flexibility:

Adapt to the varying needs of pupils, celebrating their achievements and progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS):

Must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.

  • Empathy:

Approach each student with patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.

  • Communication Skills:

Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team and with students.

  • Safeguarding:

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pupil Ages and Needs:
The school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, emotional and behavioural disorders, and learning disabilities or difficulties. As a qualified SEN teacher, you will play a vital role in helping these students thrive academically and personally.
