Teaching Assistant Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional team. This is a full-time role starting in September 2024. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality early years education, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment for our youngest learners.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging and educational activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and motivated.
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to the teacher and parents as needed.
- Promote excellent behaviour and social skills, fostering a respectful and friendly classroom environment.
- Support children with varying needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Ensure the health and safety of all pupils during indoor and outdoor activities.
Teaching Assistant Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to nurturing the potential of every child.
Teaching Assistant Desirable Attributes:
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- First Aid certification.
